Today in Heritage History, March 31, 1870, Texas is the last Confederate state to be readmitted to the Union. It took Texas about 12 attempts, over a six-year period to (finally) pass the G.E.D., which was the Union’s criteria for re-admission.

I knooooooowwwww…but it makes me really mad that Rick Perry and his Republican cowboy agenda has raped, pillaged, and plundered the eduction system of this state. There was a time back in the 80′s when it could have rivaled the educational likes of any of the big states like NY, or California, or Mass. Somewhere, somehow somebody decided you didn’t need an education to live in Texas. Apparently, they were right. Thanks Totsy. I miss your posts!!! Come back soon.

Was there twice once for Basic Training and the second for hospitalization. The first stop was near San Antonio and the second was in Witchita Falls which is next to Oklahoma making it doubly toxic. Still have tornado flashbacks from WF.
