Today in Heritage History, April 13, 1860, the Pony Express reached Sacramento, California, from St. Joseph, Missouri, in record time. Riders would have arrived a day earlier but were delayed escorting Dionne Warwick to San José after being unable to convince her that they really DID know the way.
