Today in Heritage History, May 6, 1626, Dutch colonist Paul Minuit buys Manhattan for $24 in trinkets. The Delaware Indians were thrilled with the deal; they were finally rid of the Naked Cowboy, no longer had to host the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, Rocking (New Years) Eve or deal with the giant egos of the mini-palefaces, Ryan Seacrest, and (little) Mikey Bloomberg.
