ne 10, 1924, the first political convention, the Republican Convention held in Cleveland, Ohio that year, is broadcast on radio. Radio listeners were at first quite confused about the broadcast believing, until clarified by announcers, that they were listening to a head trauma fundraiser event for Veterans of World War I.
The Republicans did do one thing right when they nominated John C Fremont in 1856. A much more honorable man than Lincoln could ever possibly be.
