Today in Heritage History, 1497, Portuguese Navigator Vasco De Gama rounds the Cape of Good Hope. Tomorrow in Heritage History, Portugal refuses to pay the million dollar ransom asked for De Gama and his crew by the Somali pirates that captured his fleet. Portugal did however send De Gama a very thoughtful “We’ll Miss You Around the Explorers Office” Hallmark card.
