Today in Heritage History, March 23, 1973, Yoko Ono is granted permanent residence in the United States. The State Department allowed Ms. Ono to stay under a strictly enforced condition that she agree to never sing (or even hum) a song anywhere, public or private again ever*, with or without John Lennon.

*Hence the historical origin of the expression, “Man…that could clear out a room faster than a Yoko Ono album”
