Today in Heritage History, April 18, 1775, Paul Revere makes his famous ride from Charlestown to Lexington. The ride almost didn’t happen. Revere initially crashed his horse in his driveway while Mrs. Revere chased him with a nine iron. After a brief verbal altercation, Revere was able to complete his ride, warning friends who also had a number of extra-marital affairs in Britain, that the “jig was up”.
