Today in Heritage History, May 8, 2011, a near riot breaks out at a Beijing Apple Store as the Apple iPad2 goes on sale. The rioters were mostly Apple employees. The crowd eventually calmed and dissipated as University of Beijing economics students observing the crowd pointed out, that they would all have to work 23 hours a day, 7 days a week for another 10, 562 years (at current prevailing Apple wages), to really be able to buy one.
