Today in Heritage History, June 8, 1988, behavioral scientists working with the Asian airline Nippon Airways, announce that painting eyeballs on their jets has cut bird collisions by 20%. Taking the lead from Nippon, scientists working with Southwest Air discover that having a painted picture of Rosie O’Donnell on their jets cut bird collisions by 98% and collisions with Donald Trumps private jet by 100%.
