Today in Heritage History, March 6, 1836, after a 13 day stand-off, 3,000 Mexicans beat 182 fighters gathered from all over the U.S., at the Alamo in San Antonio, Texas. In tribute to the Mexicans, they did attempt for 13 days to negotiate a “reasonable” settlement with the Americans in order to avoid the siege. The Mexicans finally attacked after Davy Crockett flatly refused to relinquish his (bitchin‘ dude) old Chevy Camaro with the adjustable air shocks, a bobble head Jesus on the dash, and a trunk full of velvet Elvis paintings he had purchased for re-sale in Texas, during a recent trip to Tijuana.
